Samir Modi is a documentary director and producer who runs Half and Half Films, a production company specialising in finding the universals of fringe worlds.
An alumni of the National Film and Television School, his autobiographical film, 'Untied Shoelaces' was shortlisted for a Student Academy Award in 2024. In 2025, his feature documentary 'Love & Ultraviolence' was distributed by Vice.
He is currently in production for 'Where Roots Lie' a documentary shot on location in Nigeria, exploring human smuggling routes to Europe.
